Hydronic heating, designed and installed by one team.

Boilers, in-floor radiant, panel radiators and snow melt for custom homes, cottages and renovations across Simcoe County and Muskoka.

Wall-hung boiler with radiant manifold and glycol feeder, installed by Northland

Why hydronic

Water carries heat better than air. A hydronic system puts even, quiet heat exactly where the house needs it — through the floor, through radiators, or through a garage slab — and runs on a boiler sized to the actual load, not a rule of thumb.

It is the right system for custom homes, additions with no room for ducts, slab-on-grade builds, and anyone who is tired of cold floors in February.

What we install

Condensing boilers

Wall-hung and floor models, natural gas or propane. Viessmann, NTI, IBC and Navien.

In-floor radiant

PEX in slab, staple-up under subfloor, or overpour panels. Zoned by room.

Panel radiators & baseboard

For older homes, additions and rooms where the floor can’t change.

Snow melt

Driveways, walkways and steps on their own glycol loop, with slab sensors so it only runs when it should.

Combi & indirect hot water

Domestic hot water off the same boiler, sized for the household.

Controls & zoning

Outdoor reset, mixing valves and per-zone thermostats, commissioned and labelled.

How we do it

Room-by-room heat loss before anything is sized or quoted.
Loop layouts drawn and walked with the builder before the pour.
Pressure-tested loops, documented, before the concrete goes down.
Full commissioning — balanced, labelled, and explained at walkthrough.

Where hydronics fits

Red oxygen-barrier PEX radiant loops before the pour
In-floor radiant
Warm floors, even heat, zoned room by room.
Cottage in the pines at dusk with the lights on
Custom homes & cottages
Boiler, radiant slab and air handling designed as one package.
Cold-climate heat pump outside a stone-clad home
Cooling for radiant homes
Radiant doesn’t cool. A ductless or central heat pump covers summer.
What it typically costs, installed (2026)

Boilers and hydronic systems

Complete custom-home system (boiler, zones, DHW)$25,000 – $60,000
In-floor tubing, new slab$8 – $14 / sq ft
Heated garage or shop slab$6,000 – $12,000

Questions we get asked

Boiler or furnace for a custom home?

Radiant floors give the most even, quiet heat and suit slab-on-grade and open-plan designs; a furnace is cheaper and gives you cooling through the ducts. Many good builds here use both.

What boilers do you install?

NTI, Viessmann and Navien condensing boilers.

Can hydronics heat the domestic hot water too?

Yes. A combi boiler or an indirect tank off the boiler handles hot water, which simplifies the mechanical room.

Do you service hydronic systems you did not install?

Yes. We service boilers, combis, manifolds and controls across Simcoe County and Muskoka.

Who draws the mechanical design?

We do. One team designs, prices and installs the system, so nothing is lost between the drawing and the mechanical room.

Building or renovating? Get the mechanical design right first.

Send us the drawings. We’ll come back with a layout, equipment list and fixed price.
