In-floor radiant heat, zoned room by room.

Warm floors and quiet, even heat for new builds, additions, basements, garages and shops across Simcoe County and Muskoka.

Red oxygen-barrier PEX radiant loops before the pour

Why in-floor

Radiant floor heat warms the slab or subfloor and lets it warm the room from the ground up. No blowing air, no cold spots under the windows, no furnace cycling on and off. Each room or zone gets its own thermostat, so the bathroom can run warmer than the bedroom and the garage can sit at 10 degrees until you need it.

It is the right choice for slab-on-grade builds, basements getting a new floor, garages and workshops, and any house where the owners are done with cold floors in February.

What we install

In-slab PEX

Oxygen-barrier PEX tied to the mesh or clipped to insulation before the pour, in loops sized to the heat loss.

Staple-up & joist-bay

Under existing subfloors with heat-transfer plates, for renovations where the floor stays.

Overpour & panel systems

Thin-slab and routed panel systems where height is limited.

Manifolds & zoning

A manifold per floor with flow meters, actuators and a thermostat per zone.

Mixing & controls

Mixing valves, outdoor reset and floor sensors so the slab never runs hotter than the floor finish allows.

Boiler supply

Condensing boilers sized to the full load, with domestic hot water off the same plant where it makes sense.

How we do it

Room-by-room heat loss and a floor-covering check before loop spacing is set.
Loop layouts drawn and walked with the builder before anything is tied down.
Every loop pressure-tested and tagged at the manifold before the pour.
Balanced and commissioned zone by zone, with the controls shown at walkthrough.

Where in-floor fits

Red oxygen-barrier PEX radiant loops before the pour
Slab-on-grade builds
Loops in the slab from day one. The most comfortable heat there is.
In-floor heating panels ready for PEX
Basements & renovations
Panel and overpour systems that fit where the slab is already poured.
Custom home in winter with a cedar deck
Garages & shops
Heated floors that dry the truck and keep the tools from freezing.
What it typically costs, installed (2026)

Hydronic in-floor heating

New concrete slab (tubing, manifolds, controls)$8 – $14 / sq ft
Retrofit under or over existing floor$18 – $30 / sq ft
Heated garage or shop slab, complete$6,000 – $12,000
Complete custom-home system with boiler$25,000 – $60,000

Costs depend on zones, floor construction and whether a boiler is included. Any rebate you qualify for is built into the written quote. See the full cost guide →

Questions we get asked

When does in-floor heating have to be decided?

Before the slab is poured. Tubing goes into the concrete or under the subfloor, so the decision belongs at the drawing stage.

Can I add it to an existing house?

Yes, as a retrofit under or over the floor. It costs more per square foot than a new slab, and a heated garage slab is often the best-value project.

Do I still need cooling?

Radiant floors heat only. Most custom builds pair them with a ducted heat pump or air handler for cooling and ventilation.

What boilers do you install?

NTI, Viessmann and Navien condensing boilers, sized to the zones and domestic hot water.

Who designs the system?

We do, as one team: layout, zoning, manifolds, boiler and controls, priced before anything is ordered and installed by the people who drew it.

Finishing a basement or pouring a slab?

The best time to plan radiant is before the floor goes in. Send us the drawings and we’ll come back with a layout and a fixed price.
